Rev. Ernest Williams, Pastor
Rev. Williams is the Pastor of Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Toney, Alabama. Before coming to Mt. Zion Rev. Williams served as the Pastor of his home church, Rising Star Primitive Baptist Church, in Orville, Alabama, from 1991 to 1993. He also served as Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Town Creek, Alabama from 2001 to 2006.
Rev. Williams graduated as the Valedictorian of Keith High in Orville Alabama as well as Magna Cum Laude from Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. He studied Theology at Selma University as well as Crownwell Theological Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts. He holds a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Faulkner University.
Pastor Williams taught and lectured at Geneva College of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama, and currently serves as the chair of the Mathematics Department at Calhoun Community College.
Since being installed in October 2007 as Pastor of Mount Zion, Pastor Williams implemented Senior, Youth Singles and Married Couples Ministries. A new college ministry at Alabama A&M University was started in 2019.
Pastor Williams is married to the lovely Mrs. Veronica Williams and they are the parents of three sons; Ernest Williams, Jr., Ajahnni, and Zyan.
