bible study series
OVERVIEW
Theme(s)
The theme of 1 Peter is to show believers that our main goal as Christians is to bring glory to God in all that we do (1:8; 2:5, 9; 4:11). Subthemes of the letter are suffering (1:6-9; 2:19; 3:8-18; 4:12-16; 5:10), submission (2:13, 18; 3:1; 5:5) and sobriety (1:13; 4:7; 5:8). We shall see.
